WANTED.

Some of you may have heard, I had a piece stolen from me at Dragon Con. Not just some ordinary piece but a one of a kind Monicle that was to be in  featured in a Steampunk Exhibit at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford this October.

I'm will pay $200.00 for it's safe return on a "no questions asked" basis.
I will pay $500.00 if it leads to the arrest of the one who stole it.

Remember, it is a one of a kind piece. There will never be another. If you see someone wearing it they are definately connected to the theft and a felony.

I will also produce a custom piece for anyone who gets the theif arrested. Have you been looking at one of those arms thinking $1499.00 is beyond your reach? You Get me this person and I'll make one just for you.

Sincerely,
Thomas Willeford

What an utterly dickish move. Don't these people realize they're stealing from family? Great good luck getting it back soon and intact.

I've posted the info and pics to a couple Steampunk Facebook groups for you.

I hope someone spots this incredible piece of work and beats the holy hell out of the thief whilst dragging him to the nearest police station.

Adding to the well wishes above, but please don't assume that If you see someone wearing it they are definately connected to the theft and a felony. Perhaps they bought it unknowingly from the thief. I'm just saying, before anyone beats wearer to a bloody pulp, don't dismiss the idea that it was stolen by someone who wanted to re-sell it. In fact, profit is a more likely motive than admiration to steal a work like this. At least, I'd like to think that anyone who truly admired this would be a better person than a thief. But I suppose at this point, it could have ended up anywhere. Sorry.

I am posting this to my personal journal to see if anyone on my f-list who went to D*Con saw anything.

Best of luck to you! I hope you find the piece and the loser who took them!

Best keep an eye on eBay for this thing too... Once the thief get's wind of the bounty on his head, he'll likely try to get rid of it pretty quickly. I hope it turns up without a fight though, it's a shame someone took it at all. :(

I saw in one of the other comments that you might have lent it to someone during a photoshoot? If so, you might want to add that to your main post for the sake of the innocent if said photos turn up online.

Good luck to you!

Hey can anyone email me links to Dragoncon 2009 photos. I have a lot of time on my hands (sad I know). So sitting in front of the computer scanning thousands of photos actually sounds fun to me. I really want to help so if you have any links to online photo galleries send the links to sp4c3gh05t@yahoo.com.

Thomas,

My heart goes out with you on this piece. I hope it comes back to you! Again, it was nice working with you at SDCC and seeing you if only briefly as D*Con. Good luck, and until next year!

Cheers,
Kiki
