Positively screaming with excitement!

Why am I screaming with excitment?
Because I'll be attending a very giant and very merry New Years Eve steam extravaganza!  Now, I wait impatiently for my costume to arrive

Delicious blouse I'll be reinforcing with leather straps in the back. It's always good to have sleeveless tops when one plans on dancing one's self into a shamanistic stupor.

I'll be wearing this tasty little mask I made.

And of course, because I'm a tinkerer, this bustle skirt will be *seriously* enhanced once I get my hands on it.
Great starting points but by the time I'm done with the top and skirt my costume will be a most epic piece of brilliant and 100% one of a kind.

I cant wait!

I certainly will. It's going to be such a lush event and I plan on being the belle of the ball. :)

I love that outfit!! Did you make the top?

The outfit is darling isn't it? Nope, I didn't make the top but because I'll be changing it drastically once it arrives I almost view this outfit 'as is' as a kind of skeleton of what is to come. I was really sweet on the fact that the top is sleeveless though. One can always use a throw or find a little victorian bolero to complete the look but under arm breathing is crucial.

I used to have access to a museum that carried all kinds of old authentic victorian clothing and the under-arms of these garments were *so* tight. When I looked inside of these beautiful pieces they were deeply stained with endless layers of sweat and must have stunk to the high heavens back then.. good god.

I agree, under-arm breathing is essential!! Where is the top from?

Good call caliypsoe... my friend happens to be a cherished concept designer there. Her name is Laura. :) Her work is texturally decadent and she's just as excited as I am to see what I'll end up turning this into. I think once I'm done with it I'll use it in the next photo shoot arranged for my steampunk masks and other models.
