This Saturday at http://www.doriansparlor.com

Unfortunately, we just had several models who were set to go for this event suddenly run into scheduling conflicts and other difficulties that will prevent them from being available. We now have 12 model openings for this Saturday's show. If you are interested, you will get to walk in thousands of dollars worth of clothing, you will get pro photos, food and free entry into the event for that night, and a great deal of fun.

The clothes are all NYC Fashion Week samples so they are cut very small to meet the fashion industry standard. Note the sizes and if you fit and are interested, email the designer at alexlondondesign@gmail.com

Info about what is needed and about the designer.

Designer Alex London ( http://www.alexlondondesign.com) who recently debuted New York Fashion Week, will be showing, by special request, their Spring/Summer 2011 collection "Chassant Le Lapin Blanc" a fantastical collection that incorporates elements from the beloved novel "Alice in Wonderland" at Dorian's Parlor on March 12, 2011 in Philadelphia, PA

"This collection comes from my pursuit of a childhood stuffed bunny that seemed to have gotten away. I would make dresses for the bunny and saw it as a real person. I chased my childhood and an impossible beauty that always seems to evade my grasp." - Alex London

We do not want merely to see beauty, though, God knows, even that is bounty enough. We want something else which can hardly be put into words--to be united with the beauty we see, to pass into it, to receive it into ourselves, to bathe in it, to become part of it. C.S. Lewis

We have 8 models right now and are looking for 12 more. Models need to be agency standard size (5'9-6'3, size 0-4.) Longer hair lengths desired. Hair and makeup will be provided, models need to bring a standard pair of their tallest black heels and nude underwear.

If interested, please email alexlondondesign@gmail.com with your details and a full length photo, as well as a link to your portfolio (modelmayhem is fine)

The event is March 12
Philadelphia Doubletree Hotel
237 Broad Street

Call Time 5pm

once again i'm not agency standard size. i could've done all the sears catalog work i wanted back in the day. damn 5'4" tallness.

.... standard model agency height is 5'9-6'3 but they should weigh around 100-120 pounds? at THAT height? That sounds like some shenanigans to me. :P

That being said, I do believe you'd find a great number more models at the requested weight if they didn't have to be so dang tall. But I suppose this is a tad OT.

I'm nearly tall enough and proportionally skinny, but I will never ever be a size 4 because of the size of my hip bones... I'd have to have them shaved down. :/ I'm a bit bummed, because I have long hair and could keep my evening open for it. BUT, I still hope that the OP is able to find people who fit the bill and have an awesome photo shoot.

Steph, If you're still interested, I know one of the other designers who frequently shows designs at this fashion show, and always needs models.

She made my green silk corset. Text me if you're interested and I'll put you in touch.

that, ladies and gentleman, is pretty standard for models. It's why I cringe when my niece says she wants to model so she can play dress up all day.
