My first Steampunk Outfit (cross posted to my personal lj)

My first attempt at Steamfashion. I wore it the first day of Archon 33. It's a work in progress because I need a gadget of some sort, but I rather like it:

That was a Goodwill find? Awesome! (And are those chains or just shiny bits of fabric? Because if that is metal, that's even more amazing.)

That is metal chain, courtesy of Joann fabrics and since the coat already had eyelet holes, I just used brass paper fasteners to attach them.

Very fitting. It certainly gives the jacket just a right amount of steeampunk edge.

Lovely indeed! May I make a recommendation about the skirt however- It looks like there may be some detail in the back, but maybe a low slung belt to add a bit of texture to the gray.
Simply a thought- for yours to do with what you will.
Keep up the Goodwilling :D

There's a bustle, actually, and had I thought about it, I would've had someone take a photo of me from behind. :) It does need something added at the waist, though. The costuming muse just hasn't decided what yet.
